Beverly Brown was born in Boston, MA and received a B.A. degree from New York University with a major in art history and a minor in studio art. She studied photography at The New School/Parsons School of Design, the International Center of Photography, and Maine Photo Workshops.
Today Ms. Brown works as a painter, photographer, and animator. She began her career as a photographer and has been exhibiting her photographs in solo and group shows since 1993. Her photographs are in permanent collection of the New York Public Library's Department of Prints and Photographs.
Ms. Brown's vision has been applied to commercial assignments, including commissions from Doubleday Publishing, Pantheon Books, Alfred A. Knopf Publishing, and Narada Media. Her photographic images are licensed through Getty Images and Alamy have been published widely in editorial and advertising markets throughout the U.S.A., Japan and Europe.
In addition to licensing her images commercially, Beverly also works with art consultants and designers to create
custom prints for interior spaces. Her prints adorn the walls of corporate spaces, law firms, hospitals, department stores and private homes.
