The other night I attended the New York Society of Illustrators sketch night – a live fashion drawing event where all the poses were limited to 7 minutes or less. Most model drawing classes are run in a similar way, with very short poses leading up to longer poses. As I quickly made my fashion sketches, I was reminded of what a pleasure it is […]
They’re predicting 2-4 inches of snow today in NYC! Not a good sign for the first day of spring. Fortunately art provides the perfect escape from reality. In the spirit of spring, here is a new digital fashion painting in shades of peach and mint green. It is for sale as a print in my shop.

Twice a year, in New York City, the setting sun aligns with the east-west streets of Manhattan, illuminating the urban canyons in dramatic shades of orange, red and yellow. From time to time, I like to take a break from color and paint with a monochromatic palette. This self-imposed limitation forces me to focus exclusively on light and shadow. Here are a couple of new Paris paintings in black and white – classic Parisian scenes of the Eiffel Tower and a bridge on the […]
International Shades, a company that makes high-end, couture lampshades, recently contacted me about using one of my fashion art images for their marketing campaign.
