New iPad Pastel Digital Fashion Illustrations

fashion on the iPad

The iPad continues to be one of my favorite art tools.  These “pastel” summer fashion sketches were made with the ArtRage app and a Nomad Brush.

Summer Sunlight in the Conservatory Garden

Tree lined path - Conservatory Gardens, Central Park, NYC

Patterns of sunlight streaming through the heavy summer foliage became the inspiration for these watercolor paintings of the Conservatory Garden in Central Park, a sanctuary in the heart of New York City.

Fashion Illustration Watercolor - Woman in an Orange Evening Gown

A watercolor fashion illustration of a woman wearing a bright orange evening gown with a black lace single sleeve and feathers in her hair.   Below is my charcoal preparatory sketch.  Before making a watercolor painting I usually begin with a value study in either charcoal or pencil.
