Recently I was contacted by Stephanie Sutterlin, a professional color consultant and interior designer, about purchasing art for a doctors’ office in Cincinatti, Ohio. It was an OB/GYN practice and Stephanie’s idea was to fill the space with watercolor images of women from my print shop. Her final selection of 12 prints included other subjects such as landscapes, floral and shoe paintings, with color as the connector between the artworks. Stephanie painted the walls in bright greens and yellows to set off the colors in the prints and create a mood that is cheerful, warm and inviting – not what one expects to find in a typical doctor’s office.
